## Setup
- 9:20 am connected:
	- GSE Ether switch to:
		- CMOS 1
		- CMOS 2
		- CdTe DE
		- SAAS camera
		- SAAS SBC
		- GSE computer
		- Orlando's laptop
	- Note on these SAAS connections:
		- We can plug/unplug the SAAS SBC from the switch to allow laptop-based display software to directly display camera images. If we power on SAAS with the SBC and camera both plugged into the GSE Ether switch, the SBC will connect to the camera and feed SAAS images (NTSC) over BNC to the television. If we disconnect the SBC from the Ether switch, we can use a laptop to take images.
	- Note on these Ether connections generally:
		- All should be removed before flight. SAAS camera should be reconnected to SAAS SBC using the short, blue Ethernet cable that is currently taped to the tower box.
		- Was able to `ssh` to CMOSes and CdTe DE (and Formatter) from GSE computer.
	- Power supply connected to Exp power. Confirmed power supply output and Exp input connector (no shorts between `28 V` and `GND` lines).
		- Grounded Exp chassis to building ground last night after rolling out.
	- GSE uplink (RS-232 via USB) is connected to Exp uplink using the USB to RS-232 adapter harness. This harness was plugged into a USB-A to USB-A extender cable.
	- SAAS NTSC output via 75 Ω BNC is connected to a television via a BNC pin-to-pin adapter.
### `run1`
**Post-setup verification**
- Logging to `17-2-2024_9-10-9/`.
- 9:25 am confirmed usual startup sequence/data collection for CMOS and CdTe. Data looks good in GSE.
- 9:32 am tried Timepix `erase_storage` command, doesn't seem to work according to Milo `ssh`'d in Timepix. Thanasi confirmed hex code sent to Timepix is correct per [Savannah's command sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11R1XoXKfDa6zBk6euSSFfpI8qRmq20KM1ZSMPEvy83c/edit?usp=sharing)
- 9:33 am got one Timepix packet logged. Noticed right after I powered off Timepix :( The GSE displays something though!
- 9:35 am shutdown, powered off CMOSes.
- 9:36 am taking a little Housekeeping board data (RTDs + power).
- 9:39 am disabled Housekeeping board readout. Leaving Exp power on. Stopped GSE.
### `run2`
**Miscellaneous setup, trying Timepix**
- 11:40 am aligned with laser. 
- 11:45 am setting up cooler. Formatter running alone (0.345 A consumption).
- 11:49 am turned on Timepix for test.
- Around noon actually started cooling.
- 12:00 pm Formatter has received no Timepix data. Milo is accessing Timepix to check.
- 12:05 pm requested a couple packets of RTD data from Housekeeping board.
- 12:07 pm powered SAAS on.
- 12:16 pm still no Timepix data.
- 1:30 pm ish reached -20 ºC.
- 1:35 pm raised Timepix bias voltage. 
- 1:39 pm took a couple frames of RTD data from Housekeeping board.
- 1:45 or so powered x-ray generator on, 30 kV, 120 µA
- 1:48 pm powered Timepix off.
	- Milo didn't see x-rays in Timepix images. 
	- Formatter received one (and only one) Timepix packet at 1:48 pm.
- 1:51 pm turning Timepix back on. 
- 1:59 pm raised Timepix bias. X-rays still on, same settings.
- 2:02 pm turned generator off.
- 2:03 pm turned x-ray generator back on, same settings (30 kV, 120 µA).
	- Still at -20 ºC. No Timepix data.
- 2:18 pm powered off Timepix.
### `run3`
**Cooled, 200 V bias, no x-rays, full mode pedestal**
- 2:45 pm powering on DE
	- 2:46 pm see `SW Stat` change in GSE
- 2:48 pm powered on canisters
	- `Ping` updated in GSE
- 2:49 pm running startup sequence for canisters
	- 2:51 pm applied 200 V bias.
	- Then set full readout mode
- 2:51 pm focal plane still -20 ºC
- 2:52 pm starting data collection.
- 2:54 pm took a few frames of RTD and power data.
- 2:55 pm stopping data collection.

**Cooled, 200 V bias, x-rays in pos 2, sparse readout**
- 2:57 pm set `sparse` readout mode
- 2:58 (before x-rays start) `start` observation
- 2:58 pm starting x-rays
	- X-ray source in position 2 (still mini x 2)

**Trying Wayne's Trufocus generator in pos 3**
- 5:39 pm set up new x-ray generator 
	- Trufocus 6050, Mo target
- 5:40 pm stopped last GSE log
- 5:41 pm starting a new GSE log 
- 5:41 pm starting CdTe data collection
	- Focal plane -20 ºC
	- Bias 200 V
- 5:42 pm starting x-rays
	- slowly ramping up
	- 5:44 pm reach 500 µA
	- 30 kV, 500 µA, pos 3

	- For both power on, notice CdTe `SW Stat.` field in GSE goes red briefly while SpaceWire communication is interrupted by CMOS.
- 6:29 pm stopped GSE log for Narukage san to change CMOS parameters for x-ray test.

- Want to restart CMOS after software change. Lowering CdTe bias.

- 6:45 pm stepped CdTes through to obs mode **but did not raise bias yet**.
	- Confirm bias 60 V in GSE

- Moved source to pos 0

- 7:06 pm pulled raw data from CMOSes. Stored in `feb17/CMOS/run17/CMOS1` and `feb17/CMOS/run17/CMOS2`.

- 8:54 started GSE, learning how it works.
- 8:57 turned on read HK RTDs and power and then disabled.

- 9:02 starting GSE again.

- 9:05 HV bias on CdTe
- 9:05 CMOS stop to start (start CMOS data files)
- 9:06 CdTe start data files

- Side note: earlier, when we commanded CdTe HV=200, the GSE display updated to that value.  Good.
- 9:24 stop both CMOS, power down X-ray generator.
- 9:47 pm copying CMOS data out, from `/mnt/1/boot/` in CMOS.
- 10:15 pm stopped data transfer out of CMOS 1 and shut down CMOSes.
- Raw data taken from CMOS SSD is stored in `feb17/CMOS/run22/CMOS1` and `feb17/CMOS/run22/CMOS2`.
